X spouts Nietzsche

I never know what Professor Xavier of the X-Men's educational background is. 

Is it medicine? Genetics? 

 During his current unenviable run on X-Men Legacy, Mike Carey (Lucifer, The Unwritten) has managed to do the impossible : making Professor X (and later Rogue) interesting again. What makes Professor X interesting again for me is the scene below from X-Men Legacy #214 where he quoted Nietzsche in his battle with Sinister in the mindscape. How many superheroes can do that?
